I still recall myself when I was a little kid and used to wait for my dad to come home from work.
The happiness and excitement of finally seeing my dad again after even just a few hours was a big deal for me — and apparently understand that too.
And this pet cockatoo is the best example to prove it.
Onni is a one-year-old umbrella cockatoo. This bird loves his dad so much that he waits for him all day long and can’t hide his excitement once he sees him coming back home from work.. You have to see to believe it! The reaction he gives when he spots his dad walking up the driveway to the house is too awesome to miss!
Now the fun doesn’t end right here, you have still to watch when dad walks through the door too.. The super excited bird flies towards his dad, and the two greet each other and then embark on teasing mom.
I never seen a bird acts affectionately towards his owner, these two have obviously a special bond. By the way, Onni is a common Finnish name that means “luck” and “happiness”, which is exactly what this little guy is.
In the middle of the video, you can see what happens when Onni’s owner finally comes through the door — Onnis’s loving welcoming is just adorable.
