When BarkPost learns about the heartwarming story of 11-year-old Bella and her service dog, George, they immediately knew he deserves more than their “Dog’s Best Day” honor. Their journey captured the attention of many people around the world. Read it below and find out why.
Bella was diagnosed with a rare disorder known as Morquio Syndrome, she was convinced she’d spend her entire life on crutches or in a wheelchair. However, she was wrong as everything changed the day they introduced her to George, an amazing service dog.
Bella couldn’t resist but fall in love with her new furry friend, George, while volunteering at Service Dog Project, Inc.
The two friends have become since then inseperable friends, they developed so special bond, and Bella knew as much she needed George by her side, he needed her too.
Thanks to her work with George as her mobility service dog, Bella’s newfound independence doesn’t stop now at walking – she can even ride a bike for the first time in her life!
Now, Bella has one wish which is to return to George all he has done for her. BarkPost decided to help her out to give her friend, George, the BEST DAY EVER!
