When Dan went out with a friend and his two dogs, he had no idea that he would return home a hero. Dan lives in San Lorenzo Valley, California.
A neighbor’s dog had gone missing for the past week. The Cole family was really worried about their dog Sage, and no one had seen her anywhere for 7 days. On this fateful day, Dan was about to save a life, and make people happy.
What happened during his mountain hike with his friend is very much close to a miracle!
As they made their way through the woods, Dan spotted something that looked like a trash bag. Since he knows his vision isn’t that good, he decided to move closer to check. He found Sage lying lifeless, with her head just above the streaming waters. Heavy rains were approaching, so you can bet what would have happened to the dog had Dan not showed up in time.
The Cole family was thankful to Dan. They even offered him $1,000 but he declined and wanted the cash to be donated to an animal shelter.
