The Doug Delony, the producer of KHOU.com, went training through when something caught his attention and so he took a snap. He didn’t know the photo would take the internet a blaze and get the sympathy of several strangers all over the world.
Doug’s picture showed a man genuflecting over an old dog, and there was a baby buggy by his side.
Doug posted the photo on Facebook and wrote that most afternoons he takes a jog through the Discovery Green and many afternoons he notices the guy with a baby carriage but no infant. He takes the cute pup to the park. He allows it to sit on the lawn and absorb aroma and the sound. Here he is offering it water out of a little mug he carries with him.
Dough did some research. 16 years old Maximilian, the dog, had been with his mother Edie since he was a pup
Max was visually impaired in one eye and had serious arthritis, and his family couldn’t care for him. Each day Edie and her partner Troy put Max in a baby carriage and brought him to the park.
Edie told KHOU.com that she doesn’t see a reason to ignore someone because he is aged.
Max died in June 2017 after leaving an unusual legacy behind.
