CBS Sacramento reports that two German Shepherds, at a young age, were left alone deep in the mountains as you glided off Interstate 50 in California. They would go to the mountains whenever they saw someone. It happened somewhere around Bridal Veil Falls. It was very difficult for someone to help them as they were disappearing into the dangerous mountains.
The animal rescuers were determined to save the puppies despite the difficulty of the task. They were cruel. The two were getting weaker by the day because they had no food. The metal chain tied around their necks began to bruise.
But being side by side, they managed to last two whole weeks. Knowing that German Shepherds were vulnerable and in need of rescue, animal services officers continued to search for them daily. Apparently the dogs could sense people moving and anticipating problems, they just stayed away.
