Witnessing the special bond between a dog and a child is truly heartwarming. We know that dogs are protective, loyal and friendly, and that’s what kids need especially in their young ages. Whether they do something good or bad together, we can’t help but smiling inside of ourselves. That’s exactly what happened to this family when they caught something happening that they couldn’t resist sharing. Now the whole Internet is in love with it!
We’re talking about Colby and Bleu, two golden retrievers that are part of the Cardinal family. They have been loving pets for the family for a long time but the world changed about 15 months ago and, as you are about to see, a change for the better.
It started happening since Chloe came into the world. Chloe became their baby sister and she was a precious addition to the entire family! At first, the relationship was adorable and innocent enough but it didn’t take much time before the dogs started to corrupt the little baby and they turned her to a crime partner.
The father, Chris Cardinal explained that Colby immediately was taken with Chloe. Bleu took a little bit of time but eventually, he realized that she brought something very interesting to the table.
Things continue to progress and Chloe was growing on a day by day basis. Soon, she was a toddler and she became a favorite of both of the dogs for a rather interesting reason. They were hanging out underneath her highchair because of the dropped food but, as it turns out, she also learned how to give treats to the dogs rather early as well.
“Chloe wakes up every morning and asks to see ‘puppeh’. She has to go give them their pets each morning. They teach her how to be gentle with animals, socialization, etc. — and also how to get back up when they knock her over, which happens from time to time.”
Like any dog, both Colby and Bleu were absolutely in love with the fact that they got lots of snacks from Chloe. They even began to devise a plan so that they could get more snacks!
Little Chloe was much easier to persuade in to give them treats than their stingy parents. So, getting tired of waiting for somebody to bring the treats to them, they went straight to the source. Hatching an ingenious plan, they put it into action one night at 6.a.m. Thankfully, the nanny-cam managed to capture the whole thing for our viewing pleasure.
Chloe’s parents learned their dogs’ night antics when one morning, they found little Chloe outside of her room and they couldn’t figure out how she got there. The door was closed at night time and Chloe couldn’t reach the doorknob. That is when they looked at the video footage from the camera outside of her room. It turns out that the dogs were in cahoots with Chloe because they wanted an early snack that day.
