When we find someone in need of help, the first and right thing that comes to our minds is do whatever possible to help. The same for animals.
On one hot Summer day, Dave stopped at a green pasture to film a herd of cows off by the water . Everything seemed normal and peaceful until Dave notices that one of the cows walked up closer to him and tried to get his attention. Dave thought that the cow was just curious about him but he quickly realized she’s asking for his help.
The cows certainly didn’t feel scared or threatened by Dave since they were separated by an electric fence, but one cow named Flo remained persistent, mooing at him every time she could. He started thinking that something wasn’t right. Flo then led him to the next fence and that’s when Dave took a look and realized the situation he’d found himself in. Underneath the fence was a newborn calf. Mom must have delivered the tiny calf earlier in the day, except she didn’t pick the best spot for the delivery because the calf had slid underneath a slope and ended up on the other side of the fence.
Flo knew the fence was electric and she was desperate to reach her baby – but couldn’t. That’s when Dave stepped in. Using a stick, he tried to lift the fence so he could push the calf towards his mom. But every time he touched the newborn calf mom grew increasingly frustrated and you could see her tempted to attack Dave.
There was another struggle, as both Dave and the calf suffered a few shocks from the fence, but with a little persistence, Dave was able to push the baby cow closer to her mom. And a happy reunion it was! Watch the heartwarming video below:
