Courtney Poole and her husband, Evan, have a built-in mailbox on their porch, a feature of the house that their dog Rigby appreciates for as long as he can remember. A one-year-old dog uses it to greet people in the neighborhood. 🙂
The friendly dog was once small enough to walk through the opening, and his parents could pass him from side to side to release him. But now the mailbox is just the right height and the perfect size for a 70lb puppy to fit his head and see what’s going on in the world! It surprises passers-by and makes them laugh.
As for the postman, he only saw Rigby once, as the dog is usually only on the porch with his parents several times a day. The postman was taken by surprise, but Dad handled the situation.
Now the postman understands what’s going on and Rigby is free to explore the surroundings from his special location! 😀
