It all started on December 21, 2016 when Ali woke up ready to start her day as usual. According to reports in the Daily Mail, a few hours after the morning she had mild cramps. However, she quickly dismissed them and decided she was probably about to start her period.
Ally worked as a cheerleading coach in high school and had to spend most of her day playing games and then practicing. As the spasms began to worsen, she had no choice but to ignore them and carry on as usual.
It was only after an agonizing night spent in pain that couldn’t be relieved by ibuprofen that Ali realized something was seriously wrong. She spent most of the next day lying on the couch, screaming in pain as she had severe convulsions. Ali’s parents, with whom she lives, suggested she go to the hospital, but Ali refused. I thought it would be silly to go to the ER for nothing more than period cramps. Just to be sure, Alli took a pregnancy test – which came back negative.
That night, Ali was in so much pain that she had to scream in pain when the convulsions came. Eventually I decided enough was enough and agreed to go to the hospital
As she walked through the emergency room doors, Ali was terrified of dying. Nurses rushed to check his vital signs and administered pain medication. The hospital staff’s first thought was pregnancy, but given Allie’s small stature and the pseudo-pregnancy test, they decided there must be kidney stones.
When Allie came in for an ultrasound, they found out the truth. Ally was pregnant and in dire straits, four inches dilated! Instead of being treated for kidney stones, she was taken to the maternity ward of the hospital.
While the baby was healthy, he was in a breech position and would need a cesarean delivery. Within minutes, a young child was delivered and handed over to Ally for care. The girl who thought she just had period cramps is now a new mom!
The ally decided to name the baby Oliver and came home on Christmas Eve. How’s that for a surprise Christmas present? Mom and baby are still doing well and Oliver is growing by leaps and bounds!
