The East Coast is going through very cold weather and harsh snowstorms, many people are keeping their pets warm inside to avoid the chilly temperatures. And we’re talking about horses too that are now stuck in their stables unable to walk out until the weather gets better.
However, one owner decided to let her horses out to enjoy playing in the snow, but she had no clue, the horses would do something like this…
We’ve watched many videos of horses playing in the snow and they totally loved it. but these two turned out to be not huge fans of the white cold thing.. Luckily, horses are not too weak to cold season, there are few interesting changes that make them stay warm and go through the hard cold days with ease.
According to Equus magazine, the horse’s body is well equipped to deal with temperatures way below the human comfort zone. Often horse owners will arrive at the barn, bundled up in layers of clothing, to find their horses frolicking in the snow quite oblivious of the sub-zero temperatures.
Providing shelter allows the horse to stay dry on wet, snowy days and, ultimately, allows them to stay warm. Another way to keep horses warm is to put blankets on their backs and feed them hay. Heat is produced through the digestion of feed and can be useful in helping a horse maintain body temperature in cold winter weather.
We can see that these two horses are well equipped to fight the cold winter, but they’re not ready anyway to adventure out in the snow, they take few steps, feel the chilly white stuff on their hooves then immediately turn back inside the stable in perfect harmony.
The owner can’t help but laughing at her horses’ synchronized reaction towards the snow, they obviously want nothing from the blustering winds and flying snow!
Watch the hilarious moment for yourself in the video. It’s obvious these two love summer from the bottom of their hearts!
