Woman finds sick mama dog tied up in sack in the middle of nowhere, then realizes she’s not alone

I still can’t understand how someone could treat animals so cruelly and carelessly. They’re innocent and defenseless, they just look for some love and help for their survival. We have to feel responsible towards them and we shouldn’t ignore them.  And if you’ve ever had a dog, you know how desperately they want to please their humans and love us to no end.

Still, they are some sick people who find their satisfaction and pleasure in torturing, abusing and abandoning these poor creatures. Any shelter volunteer you meet would probably have many stories of unbelievable cruelty and neglect on hand.

That’s what makes what happened to this mother dog and her babies truly unforgivable. Who knows why someone decided to tie up a mother dog with her puppies and throw them out in a sack, but they did. But for all of the monsters in the world, there are incredible people who will step up and do heroic things. And that’s exactly what happened here.

Josiane Almeida, an animal rescuer from Lagoa da Prata, Brazil, was told about the despicable situation and hurried out with her husband to the middle of nowhere where the dog family could be found.

At first, the mama dog was wary of the humans approaching her and her babies. But once she realized that Josiane was there to help, she warmed up to her new friend. Only one of this dog’s puppies were outside of the bag, while the other three were trapped inside with their mother.

Josiane brought the animals to the town’s vet to have them all checked out. The puppies were in good health, but their mom had a malignant growth that needed to be taken care of immediately.

Josiane turned to Facebook to ask for donations. The dog’s medical care cost 683,000 Brazilian real (which is roughly $207,877.88).

Thanks to the donations she received, Josiane was able to get the mama dog into her first round of chemotherapy.

Since Josiane shared the video in February, it has been viewed over 5 million times. The post has gotten 140,000 shares and there are thousands of comments.
