Clip of baby slapping and insulting a patient pet dog is going viral, and having people all across the Internet thinking whether it’s a cute friendship or a case of irresponsible parents.
The footage shows the entertained baby hitting and pushing his pet dog, which shortly starts to lick the baby and push back slightly. The two become more lively as the video continues, and the pet dog finally jumps up onto the baby’s seat and gives him a hug.
During the whole video, the person who is recording – thought to be the toddler’s mother or father –films the moment as it unfolds.
Reactions to the video were mixed, with many watchers doubting whether or not the parents should have interrupted and made sure the dog didn’t become flustered or threatening their baby.
“Even if you know that your dog is safe, that’s still not smart. Dogs have off days, too,” one viewer commented.
“The dog obviously adores the little one. It’s not irresponsible,” another argued.
