This is one of those stories that make me cry whenever I come across them. One veteran, a resident of Delaware became a victim of a heart attack in September of 2015. Since he was to stay in hospital for a long time, it was not possible for him to meet the needs of his two adorable dogs. That is when a shelter that is located within the PetSmart store volunteered to help. The name of the shelter is the First State Animal Center and SPCA.

They were ready to take care of the dogs until their owner was out of hospital. But after several weeks, he was still in hospital and that meant his dogs were to be adopted by any willing person. Luckily, by the time he had fully recovered, the dogs had still not been adopted. Though that was the case, there is still something that prevented him from taking them home – he could not afford the $250 (the adoption fees.)

When he visited the shelter still needing more time to find the adoption fees, there was a big surprise waiting for him.  Somebody within PetSmart had been touched upon learning about the man’s story and had teamed up with others to pay the adoption fees.

Kindly keep on scrolling below and watch the video and witness how touching the moment was.
