A group of passers-by couldn’t believe their eyes when they came across two samoyed dogs dyed pink and left for dead in the forest after their owner abused then dumped them..
The dogs were delivered to an animal rights activist who has opened up her loving home to them.
The poor dogs were used as models at a seaside resort in Russia since they were puppies and their previous owner would charge tourists to take photos with them.
Puppies normally grow by time and the owner decided they had become too big and decided to abandon them since he could not take care of them anymore. He took them to the forest where he dumped them with no food or water.
During first examination, vets discovered that the dogs suffer from inflammation and eczema, which was caused by the pink dye. Not only this, but they were also shot at point blank range with an air pistol. One of them still has a bullet stuck inside of them.
Their former owner Mark Protsenko showed no remorse for his actions.
“Animals are meant to be eaten and to serve as material for coats, shoes and gloves,” he said. “Every day when you sit at your table you consume an animal. The same goes for pills that are animal-tested.”
He now has several other dogs that he paints and exploits for money.
“This couple… now walk around with new puppies— pink, blue and a lion colored adult Samoyed,” an animal rights group said, according to The Sun. “Last week they were seen almost every day in Novorossiysk, and recently they were in Gelendzhik. Residents and tourists— please do not support this business and complain whenever you seek them.”
Animal lovers all over Russia were pleading to tourist not to support this couple’s photo business. The two were seen with a new set of pink dogs.
The Samoyeds were very timid, They are a tender, obedient and kind breed. The two have recently been adopted into a home that will give them the love and care they deserve.
