Adele and Allan raise “free-range” kids. Their kids do not have any rules, do not get vaccinated, and are home schooled.
Adele breastfeeds her children: her 5-year-old son and her one-year-old daughter. The couple believes raising their kids out of the system and allowing them to do as they want will help them to be in tune with themselves and nature.
Adele’s son is homeschooled. Adele says she will teach to read and write when they are older. She uses toys and crafts to stimulate her son intellectually.
“Traditional parenting methods rub me the wrong way,” she told Barcroft last year. “The cry-out method for the young babies… the baby has still got that in their DNA from when they used to be hunter-gatherers and they need to feel safe.”
Adele does not agree with traditional parenting. She is against conventional medicine and treats ailments using natural products. For instance, breast milk cures conjunctivitis. In case she had cancer, she will not ask for medical intervention.
Additionally, her daughter wears no shoes because Adele believes it allows her to experience life better.
Adele’s family has many critics who voice their safety concerns of the children. However, Adele believes they are offering the best life to their children.
