In her message, Hunter’s grandmother, Laura Hoover, decided to draw attention to the school for changing its policy towards publicly humiliating students.

Hunter was even photographed eating his lunch behind a “screen” alone at one table while his friends ate at other tables.

To his right was a cup written with a capital D which means “hold”.

“He’s my grandson, Hunter. He’s a little freshman. Sometimes his mom’s car doesn’t like to start well. Sometimes he’s two minutes late for school,” said writes Laura.

“Yesterday he was 1 minute late and that’s what his mum found out they were doing to punish him! They did it 6 times for something out of this kid’s control! They laugh at him in front of the other students !”

“The manager is responsible for this. His mother found him there, crying, and brought him home all day. Will someone help me drown this lady with calls telling her how inappropriate is that?”

The unjust punishment left psychological scars on the boy and made him anxious about going to school.

Hunter can’t take the school bus because he lives near the school, but he can’t walk because the road is too busy.

After the crash, Rapid Repo and Collections donated a $30,000 Chrysler van to the family so the boy would never be late for school again.

“When my dad Mark handed over the key to the van he was speechless and so grateful,” said Maccles Kelly, who organized the generous donation.

In light of the punishment, the principal contacted Hunter’s parents and the school agreed to stop using the practice of segregation as punishment.
