Bonnie fell and unfortunately suffered a broken shoulder. It was then that their son and wife Janine began to look for other options for their living situation.
They started looking for a house that would include the husband-in-law’s suite. Most of the time, the in-law suites are small in the single family home suites or it can be a very close small building on the same property. This makes observing an elderly person much easier.
The problem was that they couldn’t find a house that was exactly what they were looking for. Then they had an idea, an idea that would melt your heart.
They decided to do some renovations in their homes. They demolished the walls of the basement which served as a recreation room. They cut out all their games and activities that were part of their normal life. This includes a karaoke machine and even a pool table.
They made some sacrifices but knew it was worth more than that. The whole basement has been turned into a suite for Shaun’s parents. They went above and beyond to fully provide her with everything she needed.
Take a look at this video where George and Bonnie are surprised by their new “home”. Bonnie gets very emotional and cries a little, but that was to be expected.
