Kristi Lopez, the head coach of the PAC Dance Team, emphasized that the song selection for the performance was deliberate, aiming to spotlight each character from “The Wizard of Oz.” Speaking to ABC News, she expressed immense pride in the students’ dedication and flawless execution.

“I think the most amazing thing, what I’m most proud of, is that I am the only dance source in our little community. There is no other dance program in the school district. These kids have only ever danced a year or two or three. They work so hard. These are not professionals, that’s just a testament to how hard they work every day,” Lopez shared with the outlet.

Lopez’s astonishment at the team’s show is echoed across the internet, with viewers commending the dancers for delivering a spectacular performance.

“I can’t believe this was performed by high school students. Professional from start to finish. As good as anything on Broadway. Take this show on the road,” expressed one viewer.

“These kids should be so proud; it takes a lot of time and discipline to be able to pull off the kind of choreography as well as they did… Amazing!!!!” commented another fan.

Fortunately, this is not the first instance of the PAC Dance Team putting a creative spin on popular classics. In 2016, their “Pixar” dance garnered over 7.1 million views, and the “Harry Potter” performance achieved over 18 million views. Their “Marvel” homecoming dance also went viral with more than 5.5 million views.

With a substantial online fanbase, accumulating over 38 million views since the launch of their YouTube channel in 2013, the PAC Dance Team continues to captivate audiences. Anticipation is high for their future endeavors!
