Eric O’Grey was just 51 when his doctor hit him with heavy news. Eric had been suffering from Type-2 Diabetes, was obese, and had high blood pressure and cholesterol. He was using up around $1,000 a month for his medications. However, that wasn’t enough to “bring him back.” One day, his doctor told him that his condition was so severe that he had about 5 years to live. Such heartbreak!

Eric was alarmed. He didn’t want to die. He asked his doctor what he could do to make things better for himself, and the doctor told him something that you’ll find hard to believe. He told him to get a dog!

Well, Eric couldn’t say no, so he passed by a nearby animal shelter and adopted a middle-aged, obese dog. He wanted a dog with things in common with him, and he got that. Fast-forward a year later, Eric is no longer suffering from Diabetes. It’s gone!

He has lost over 140 pounds in weight. Peety the dog has also lost around 25. The two clearly make a great team. They take walks and work out together. They saved each other!
