German Shepherds are some of the most beloved dogs in the world because they are known for being fearless, loyal, and highly intelligent.

Though they appear confident and tough, German Shepherds are often big softies behind the scenes. The German Shepherd in the video below is living proof of that!

The puppy in this video seems to be absolutely terrified of water until a toddler shows him how to overcome this fear in the best way possible! The video opens with the German Shepherd clearly being perplexed over his family’s new sprinkler system that was just installed in their yard.

The dog is confused as to what the sprinkler system is, but he is too afraid to go near it and figure it out. Luckily for him, his toddler friend is braver than he is and is not afraid to show him that the sprinkler system really is safe!

Watch as the toddler gingerly wanders over to the sprinkler and puts his hand in the water. Worried that the toddler was hurt by the sprinkler, the German Shepherd immediately runs over to him and starts licking his face. When the baby starts laughing, the German Shepherd realizes that all is well and that there’s no reason to fear the sprinkler at all!

Finally, the German Shepherd heads over to the sprinkler himself and puts his own nose in the water. He proceeds to make his human mother laugh hysterically as he gleefully thrashes around in the water, finally realizing how fun playing in it can be!
