Death is something all of us dread.

Glenn Maloney had a difficult time telling his children about the death of their dog. According to him, the dog was hit by a car outside his girlfriend’s house.

Maloney was watching the kids play. He asked the children to go indoors so that they would not see the bloody condition of the dog.

Maloney said he checked to see if the dog was breathing and realized the dog had no heartbeat. He buried the dog and did not even tell the kids that Mugsy was dead.

The family later held a little ceremony to bid their goodbyes. Megan even asked to put a cross on the grave but Maloney said they would do that in the morning.

At 5:30 a.m in the morning, the family hears a scratching noise at the door. Standing on the door was the “dead” Mugsy.

The couple thinks they may have buried another dog. However, the tug on the dog’s neck was Mugsy’s.

The vet had a possible explanation of the scenario. The vet thinks the dog regained consciousness after six hours and dug his way out of the grave. The dog had a slowed heart rate and had no vital signals making it obvious he was not alive.
