When a New Jersey neighborhood was recently hit with a severe flash flood, it wasn’t just the human residents who felt the brunt of Mother Nature’s wrath.
Club Barks, a dog day care and pet-sitting business, was located right in the path of the flood. As the waters rose, 80 dogs were trapped inside the business, and the scene became frantic.
The dozens of dogs, sensing something was horribly wrong, started barking like their lives depended on it.
The collective barking and howling became so loud that the employees at a nearby gun range heard.
Freddy Reyes, who works at Gun for Hire, realized the dog day care was in desperate need. So he gathered his coworkers together and braved the flood to investigate.
Freddy opened the doors at Club Barks and found the 80 dogs going crazy, and the few staff members who worked there completely overwhelmed.
They needed a “godsend,” and that’s exactly what they got. Freddy and his fellow gun-range workers stepped into action and came up with a brilliant plan.
