Reluctant at first to undergo such a drastic change, they eventually mustered the courage to apply for the Ambush Makeover on the Today Show, realizing it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
As a special Valentine’s Day surprise, the Today Show selected Jo and Kevin as the couple to receive the makeover. Unbeknownst to them, their wish for a change was about to come true. Jo had always wished for Kevin to trim his beard, while she cherished her own long hair. Stylists Louis Licari and Jill Martin recognized the couple’s inherent charm and were inspired to work with them.
