Stories of abused and neglected animals leave us heartbroken any time we hear one. And we wonder over and over again how can there be people out there who treat animals with disrespect, and even beat them and let them starve to death. Cases like these speak volumes about the failure of humanity.
The beautiful dog Marley had a tough life. Living in a tiny wooden dog house, starved and malnourished, he never got to learn how to play fetch or be loved until the people from PETA stood for his rights to have a decent life.
Marley would be served his food which was mainly cheerios in a dirty plate and he would drink dirty water from a bucket filled with algae.
Whenever this poor dog would wag its tail, he would got hit on the head. His life was so miserable that if the PETA staff didn’t do anything for him, he would have probably died in that filthy yard. The only thing this dog knew, was ‘no.’
PETA did everything in their powers to gain possession over the dog. And after five long years, the dog was finally rescued from the cruel man.
The dog was taken to the shelter where he could lay his body on a comfortable bed for the first time in his life. It was obvious Marley was unhappy until this moment when he felt devotion and kindness by the people from PETA. He was infected with parasites and given medical treatment.
Marley was a lovable dog that adjusted to the new place very quickly. Michael Moss, a worker of PETA, fell in love with the dog so he decided to take him home and provide him with a forever home. Now Marley has a new family that loves him to the moon and back. He also got a dog sister named Kyah, whom he spends his days with.
We are very happy that Marley got a chance for a much better life. Now everything he endured is behind him, and his future is bright. We hope other dogs like him will have the same fate of being rescued by people who care.
