Instead of merely expressing gratitude to the children for their actions, Clausen chose to put her thoughts into writing and send a letter to their parents. In it, she expressed,

“I feel compelled to write to convey just how wonderful your children are, both inside and out! Such qualities can only be nurtured at home, a testament to your patience and guidance, the exemplary values you impart…”

Throughout her more than two decades as a bus driver, Clausen has penned several letters to parents, but this particular one held a special place due to the positive influence Jorge and Anneliese had on their new friend. Witnessing others acknowledge random acts of kindness is always heartwarming. Clausen’s letter underscores her genuine concern for all her passengers and serves as a reminder that our children can be shining examples of generosity and compassion in our communities
