Marley had a rough start at life, but at the end he got the life he always deserved.
Alone, and cruelly chained up in a backyard for more than five years. the dog was left in this condition for no reason and without food or water.
Not only this, but his owner was abusive towards the poor Marley, smacking him on the head because he gets ‘too excited’. The only word Marley ever understood from his owner was ‘no’. Marley doesn’t even recognize his own name, as he had never been called so.
The only shelter he had was a dirty little wooden doghouse, and he had never felt the warmth of a real bed or even the indoors
PETA had been caring for the abused dog over the years, they couldn’t gain possession of the dog, so they made routine visits to make sure that Marley is fed. They would also spend some time with him, playing and petting him, to let him know what human affection feels like.
Finally after five years, his owners finally agreed to surrender him to PETA.
However, Marley’s life was only beginning. He was no longer bound to metal chains. He was also no longer punished for having fun, barking or running around like a dog should.
After putting on some healthy weight, the PETA placed Marley up for adoption – which met with great success!
And at that moment, Marley’s life truly began. No more being hit for having fun, no more giant chain or dirty water. No more having to stay outside in the freezing cold or the hot sun.
After putting on some weight and getting healthy enough, Marley found his forever home. and guess what? He is not alone in the house – he has a new canine friend, a Husky named Kyah!
