A 12-year-old boy named Andres knew what was best for his pitbull puppy, although it was the hardest; He left the dog in a box outside of a shelter to save him from his abusive father. He provided a note explaining the difficult situation.
The note read as follows:
“My name is Andrés and I am 12 years old. My mom and I decided to leave my dog in your hands, hiding it from my dad because he is thinking about selling him. But he mistreats and kicks him. One day he kicked him so hard that he hurt his tail. I hope you can help and take care of him. I left him a stuffed animal so he won’t forget me.”
The puppy, now named Rene, gets its due care and love from a dog rescue group called Shelter Xollin. Rene still needs to be seen by the vet to see what it looks like a broken tail. After a full recovery, the pit bull will be given up for adoption.
What courage and dedication for this young man. But thanks to him, this dog will never know neglect and abuse again.
