The video below was captured by a neighborhood security camera. Although these people had lived in the neighborhood for some time, they had never filmed coyotes before.
Coyotes are often able to survive well in the suburbs because they are very adaptable. They are also better at tackling small neighborhood dogs, which Trixxie found out the hard way. No coyote activity was reported in the vicinity.
However, the owner’s poor little dog was fighting for his life against a wolf. Little Chi Winnie, affectionately called Trixxie, was attacked by a wolf at seven in the morning. Then the wolf tried to carry the little dog.
Trixxie would have been decimated if the local Rottweiler hadn’t been there to save the day.
Trixxie probably lost her life. Said, a Rottweiler, is the neighbor’s dog who sensed something was wrong when he went out for a morning walk. Fortunately, the dog was walking behind the coyote when he saw that his little neighbor was in trouble. When Happy fights a coyote, Trixxie manages to escape.
Trixxie was incredibly lucky that her friend was there to rescue her. Her best friend saved her life!
If you live in an area where wolves live, it’s important to know what to do to protect your dog.
First, you want to make sure the puppies aren’t left alone outside. Wolves are often considered prey and most young dogs will not have a Rottweiler to come to their rescue. If you see a wolf, be sure to bring your dog. Then follow the reverse procedure. Point at a wolf to scare him! Remember to keep your cool!
It’s also important to make sure your dog is always on a leash when walking. Sometimes coyotes try to entice your dog and you need to keep him safe by keeping him on a leash.
