County Manager Chris Abel is grateful for Barnes’ gesture, as he believes it will have a positive impact on others, which could move him forward.

“Across Milwaukee County, employees are focused on empowering people and building community, and we are investing resources across the county to reduce homelessness.

Natalie shared what we all need to do to address homelessness: look out for each other, care for each other, and work together. I am very grateful for Natalie’s actions.”

A kind act can go a long way, especially now that people are living in the digital age, things like this can easily spread. Because of this, seeing people do real good deeds with people who need it most can pay off for others who will meet someone like Richard.

What Natalie has shown is a great gift and an opener to many more who we hope will do the same.

It was time, in the spirit of the Thanksgiving season, for Milwaukee bus driver Natalie Barnes to be congratulated for her warm gesture.
