Most states and cities have organizations that seek to combat roadside littering. As a result, hotline numbers exist where one can call and tag the offender’s number. They might not get a ticket, but their criminal actions will be noted.
While some people toss empty beer cans from their car windows, there are far evil actions than that.
14-year-old Gavin was crossing over the Grand River in Michigan with his mother when the unexpected happened. Someone in front of them tossed something from inside their car.
Before they could say anything, they realized it was worse than they thought! The bundle of trash tossed from the window started running across the street. It was then they realized it was a live cat.
Gavin’s mom stopped the car and he followed the scared cat across the street. He blocked the running cat so that he could save the cat. He grabbed the cat and got back into the car before it could escape.
He wrapped the cat tightly in case it was injured before taking it to a vet.
Fortunately, the cat did not sustain any serious injuries apart from torn toenails and bruises. Gavin named the cat Lucky and someone cleared Lucky’s hospital bill.
