It took over 3 hours before all the pups arrived. Several passengers stayed with them to see the excitement unfold. Some have taken to social media to talk about their own experience. Someone posted that she’s been there since the fifth puppy was born. Another recalled how chaos reigned at the airport because of Eleanor.
“I’ve been here since puppy 5. It’s on Instagram; we’ve gotten a lot of likes,” one passenger told Fox News 13.
She goes on to describe how Eleanor was about to board a plane that was scheduled to take off for Philadelphia when she went into labour. It was then that the firefighters stepped in and handed over the puppies. Eleanor is now the mother of seven boys and one girl. She will have full legs!
The paramedics at Tampa Fire and Rescue were happy to help and make sure everything went as smoothly as possible with Eleanor. All were delivered without complications and appeared to be in good health. Paramedics joked that the puppies would be named after them, with the girl named after the reporter who was there from Fox News 13, Natalie.
Eleanor, Golden Nugget, and Diane Phan missed after her scheduled flight but apparently they didn’t care much. They had nowhere to go because they were on their way home. After all the fuss, the house is just what they need.
Unfortunately, with newborn puppies, they can no longer travel by plane. Driving will be their only option. This is how puppies remain as safe as possible. Most airlines do not accept newborns under two days of age, and sometimes they have guidelines stating that the baby must be more than two weeks old.
With dogs, the wait is longer. It’s a pity they can’t fly, but I’m sure their flight was fun with all these little pups!
