Check out this impressive display of horsepower as two draft horses rescue a semi truck stuck on an icy hill in Minnesota this week.

The incident was caught on camera on Wednesday, December 5 in southern Minnesota.

When a semi truck wasn’t able to make it up a slippery driveway, neighbors Lizzie and Jacob Hershberger enlisted the help of their team of 13 year old Belgian draft horses Molly and Prince to give the stuck truck a hand.

In the video, you can see that while the horses appear to struggle initially to get the truck moving, once they get it started they are able to easily pull the truck up to the top of the hill.

Lizzie Hershberger told CDLLife that while the trailer was not loaded, the horses’ show of strength was still impressive because hill was much steeper than it seemed in the video.

Lizzie also told CDLLife that the team of horses is used to pulling heavy loads for her husband Jacob and that they were not harmed in any way when they pulled the truck up the hill. In fact, Lizzie says that the animals enjoy getting to do the work that they were bred to do.
