On an ordinary day at the diner, Courtney found herself serving a police officer who ordered a salad. Unbeknownst to her, as the officer enjoyed his meal, he overheard Courtney sharing with customers at a neighboring table that she was seven months pregnant, working diligently to save money. Touched by her dedication, the officer felt an overwhelming urge to help, leading him to leave a remarkable note on his receipt.

Initially, Courtney didn’t notice the message the officer had penned on the bill, but later, she discovered the heartwarming words he had written. The note expressed a desire for her to cherish the joys of first-time motherhood, assuring her that the experience would remain unforgettable. Alongside these kind sentiments, the officer left an astonishing $100 tip on the $8.75 bill.

Overwhelmed by the gesture, Courtney shared a photo of the receipt with her father, who was deeply moved. He decided to share the story on social media, causing it to quickly gain traction and receive an outpouring of positive attention.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Courtney’s father, Brian Cadigan, expressed his admiration for the officer’s generosity, noting, “What a wonderful person to not only leave a VERY generous tip, but a lovely message. I don’t know you, Mr. Police Officer, but you made my little girl cry and made her year.”
