Upon the authorities’ arrival, they identified the woman as 82-year-old Nina Lipscomb, who had been missing for four days before being discovered in the woods. The search for Nina involved helicopters equipped with thermal cameras and volunteers scouring the area.
Nina, in the early stages of Alzheimer’s, had wandered off, expressing a desire to find her late sister, who had passed away in March. Karen Lipscomb, Nina’s daughter, shared that her mother, despite her dementia diagnosis, could still recall her name and birthday when prompted.
When Nina went missing, her son Thomas traveled from Chesapeake, Virginia, to Senoia to aid in the search. Thomas speculated that someone may have given his mother a ride, making it challenging to trace her path.
During an interview, Karen mentioned the fitting twist of fate that led to Nina’s discovery by Ethan, a toddler, emphasizing her mother’s affection for children. Despite exhausting various resources in the search, it was Ethan’s intervention that proved instrumental.
Brittany Moore, Ethan’s mother, expressed her belief that her son’s actions went beyond what any adult could achieve and vowed to continually remind him of the impact he had made. She remarked, “I truly think this was something outside of what any human could do. It took a child who was being worked by God. We will always teach him what he did, how he played an impact in it.”
