As fun and entertaining as these pets can be, there’s something even more surprising about awesome pets. Although dogs, cats, fish and birds make up the vast majority of animals that humans choose as pets, there are some notable exceptions.
It is these exceptions that tend to attract more attention. On the one hand, they are always cute and funny animals. Moreover, people are not used to seeing such animals in the role of a pet. This leads to many questions and interested viewers.
Penguins are one such pet. One penguin, in particular, was getting a lot of attention not only for being a pet, but also for behaving like a human.
In this video, first published on Animal Planet, a penguin can be seen leaving the house as its owner looks on. The penguin has a backpack and seems to know exactly where to go. He obviously does that a lot.
The penguin’s name is Lala and was a pet of a local Japanese family for ten years until it died in 1996 according to a Japanese blog. Lala was rescued by the Fisherman’s Line family and she didn’t leave after being rescued. Nobody can say no to a cute penguin who wants to stay.
Lala is trained to go to a fish shop to cook dinner for the family. He even carried a backpack in order to successfully return the food. Don’t worry, Lala’s rescuers treated her with incredible kindness. Indeed, the penguin has an air-conditioned room. Not bad for a penguin that once lived in Antarctica.
