Mom knows this feeling all too well. When she went into surgery for a kidney transplant, she felt longing for her son. However, her son lived 4,000 miles away from her and she felt he couldn’t go with her to the dreaded operation. Little did she know that she was about to surprise her life!
Her son is a vlogger on YouTube and social media platform, and he was able to come and surprise his mom on her big day. His name is Carl James Brock and he lived in Germany for some time.
However, he got separated from his family due to the distance they are staying in the United States. When he found out that his mother was undergoing a kidney transplant in Georgia, it was just days before the operation.
Despite the lack of time, he knew he had to find a way to be there for her and surprise her. Although airfares were expensive for a short-haul and long-distance trip, a family friend called a flight attendant’s friend who then arranged discount tickets for Karl.
She told him in the clip, “So I just sat in bed and cried this morning because I couldn’t see my son.”
And as an added surprise, the trip went so spontaneously that Carl forgot to mention to the rest of his family that he was coming! Everyone in the room was shocked when he walked in to wish his mother well during the surgery.
It’s hard to watch the moment without shedding a tear because you can tell how much of a surprise this is for everyone involved. Fortunately, Carl’s mother has made a good recovery from the surgery and is looking forward to returning home to spend time with her beloved cats.
