The hero is Faouzi Zabat, a 17-year-old Algerian who was in the right place at the right time. He can be seen in the video crossing the street when he suddenly notices something off camera.
He seems to be trying to get the attention of others but still has plenty of time to react to what is about to happen.

Seconds later, you can see Feuzi positioning herself in the right spot for the baby to fall into her open arms.
A two-year-old Syrian girl, Doha Muhammed, accidentally fell out of the window while her mother was cooking. Vusi saw her dangerously close to the edge and immediately rushed into action. Thanks to his quick thinking, the kid got out of the accident without injury.
This swift and heroic act did nothing less than transform a deadly tragedy that would have affected the Syrian family forever. However, Feuzi ignored it as his duty. He told CNA, “I held the baby up before it hit the ground. I did what was necessary for God’s sake.”
Doha’s mother rewarded him with a cash sum of 200 Turkish lira ($35). Unsurprisingly, the rescue video has now gone viral.
