During a state-level dance competition in California, Jason and Katie astounded everyone by choosing to perform the West Coast Swing to a Rolling Stones classic. While this song and dance combination may have initially seemed unconventional, it posed no challenge for these exceptionally skilled professionals.

Drawing from their expertise in lindy hop, Jason and Katie skillfully tailored their dance moves to perfectly complement the rhythm of the song. As they dazzled both the audience and judges with their remarkable talents, spectators were pleasantly surprised to witness the duo incorporating signature honky-tonk elements into their routine.

This innovative fusion elevated their performance to an entirely new level of brilliance.

Regrettably, this remarkable partnership came to an untimely end. Jason Colacino, just a few days away from his 32nd birthday, tragically passed away in 2009 at the age of 31, leaving no prior indication of his impending demise.

His long-time dance partner, Katie Boyle, shared a heartfelt tribute in his memory. According to Colacino’s family and Boyle, his cause of death was attributed to pneumonia and an enlarged heart, ultimately leading to a fatal heart attack
