On April 22, American actress Lar Park Lincoln passed away at the age of 63, according to outlets like Entertainment Weekly. Although the cause of death has not been confirmed, Lincoln had been battling breast cancer for several years. During the 1980s, she built a successful career in film and television before later reinventing herself as an acting coach and founding her own company, Actors Audition Studios.

Through her studio, Lincoln dedicated herself to helping aspiring performers prepare for their auditions. Her official account was the first to announce her passing: “With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Lar Park Lincoln, celebrated actress, founder of Actors Audition Studios, and America’s most beloved audition coach, on April 22, 2025,” the statement read. “Throughout her 45-year career, Lar made an unforgettable impact in Hollywood with her dynamic performances and her dedication as a mentor to aspiring actors,” it continued.

Born in Dallas, Lincoln made her film debut in 1985 with the TV movie Children of the Night. Before that, she had appeared in series such as Hunter and Outlaws, becoming a familiar face in horror productions. In 1987, she appeared in House II: The Second Story, the sequel to House, and that same year joined the cast of Knots Landing, playing Linda Fairgate for four seasons — a cunning, manipulative character who quickly became a fan favorite.

In the midst of her TV work, Lincoln landed her most famous movie role, starring in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood. This installment, set once again at Crystal Lake, featured Lincoln’s character, Tina Shepard — a young woman with telekinetic powers — facing off against Jason Voorhees and becoming one of the franchise’s iconic final girls.

In 1988, she also appeared in Freddy’s Nightmares, a TV spin-off of A Nightmare on Elm Street. After that, her on-screen roles became more sporadic; in 2009, she starred in the zombie comedy Gravestoned. Lincoln chose to focus mainly on coaching actors, an endeavor that also led her to write the 2008 guidebook Get Started, Not Scammed, aimed at helping newcomers navigate the acting industry.
