Back when Keanu Reeves first moved to Los Angeles at age 20, he stumbled into something pretty awesome—weekend street hockey games that would become a major part of his life for over a decade.
“I saw some guys at a gas station with hockey gear in their car,” Keanu recalled. “They told me they played street hockey, and I asked if I could join. That turned into a game that happened every weekend—red team vs. black—for more than ten years. We’d skip holidays and sometimes take summers off, but it was a consistent part of life. I made some great friends through it. It was just a really cool experience.”

Keanu’s love for hockey runs deep. Long before he was a movie star, he dreamed of making it big on the ice. “I wanted to be a hockey player before I ever thought about acting,” he once said. “As a kid, I was shy—but when I was on the ice, I felt confident.”
Whether he’s dodging bullets in The Matrix or just hanging out with buddies playing hockey in L.A., Keanu keeps proving he’s not just a Hollywood icon—he’s someone you’d genuinely want to hang out with.
