In March 2023, Justine Bateman discussed the criticisms she’s faced regarding her natural appearance and decision to age gracefully during an interview with “60 Minutes Australia.” Reflecting on a moment at 42 when she searched her name online, she recalled being taken aback by the autocomplete suggestion “looks old.”
“I put in my name, googled my name, Justine Bateman, and then the autocomplete came up which was ‘looks old,’” she shared, noting her surprise at the images associated with the suggestion.
Justine, undeterred by external judgments, expressed contentment with her natural aging process, asserting, “I just don’t give a s***. I think I look rad. I think my face represents who I am. I like it.”
Although she considered cosmetic procedures like Botox or fillers in the past, Justine ultimately decided against them, recognizing that they would alter her authentic self. “I feel like I would erase, not only all my authority that I have now, but also, I like feeling that I am a different person now than when I was 20,” she explained. “I like looking in the mirror and seeing that evidence.”
Encouraging others to shed their fears about aging, she emphasized, “I’m saying forget about your face. That’s what I’m saying. Get it the fear that is making you think that the fact that your face is wrinkled is going to X out a bunch of opportunities for you.”
At 57, Justine continues to pursue various projects, as indicated by her IMDb page. Her genuine perspective serves as a source of inspiration, empowering others to embrace the beauty of growing older
