According to Forbes, both Cash and Gabriel experienced struggles with addiction. Gabriel, like Cash, reached a low point in his life but received assistance through an unexpected phone call from his mother and a compassionate stranger named Brian Oxley.

Coincidentally, Oxley had purchased Cash’s farm and took notice of Gabriel’s situation. He stepped forward to support Gabriel’s journey to rehabilitation and encouraged him by highlighting the potential for a music career.

Expressing his aspirations to Forbes, Gabriel shared his desire to return to music. Despite having written numerous songs while in prison, they remained stagnant, as did his own circumstances. Gabriel yearned to reignite his musical pursuits, recognizing the need for change and a fresh start.
