“I was raised to tell the truth,” said George Clooney in a powerful interview where he opened up about President Joe Biden and the current state of the Democratic Party.

An Oscar-winning actor, director, and producer, Clooney has long supported Democratic leaders like Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Biden himself. But now, his message has shifted.
📰 In a striking New York Times op-ed, Clooney urged Biden not to run for re-election, writing: “He’s not the Joe Biden of 2010.”
🎙️ In a follow-up interview with 60 Minutes, Clooney was even more candid:
“I saw the President up close, and I was surprised. Too many people in my party stayed silent. There was a lot of cowardice — and I wasn’t proud of that. I felt I had to speak the truth.”

Clooney still expressed deep respect for Biden’s character and values — but believes age and recent appearances show that it’s time for generational change. He shared a key moment: just three weeks before his article, he saw Biden at a fundraising event… and the man he saw was no longer the same.
