A gas station in Russia got more than expected when it came up with a new marketing promotion.

This gas station proves that all publicity is good publicity. NDTV reports that the Olvi gas station in Samara, Russia, ran a promotion that promised free fuel to anyone wearing bikinis and high heels. While they expected the promise of free gas to interest them, they had no idea the ruse would lead to legions of people showing up in droves demanding their free tank of gas.

And what the station certainly didn’t expect was that the men would have fun too. Based on these photos, it looks like some people would do anything for the giveaway. The show lasted only three hours, prompting a frantic race to demand free gasoline.

The promotion’s success ignited like wildfire. According to Times Now News, a petrol station in neighboring Ukraine also decided to hold a similar promotion to attract more business.

Russia is famous for its often ridiculous stunts. It’s no surprise that such a vast and diverse country is subject to crazy behavior. This gas station gadget is another example of stupid ginkgo in this country.
