Jessie Larson was driving down Baby Doll Road in Port Orchard, Washington, when she noticed an adorable sight up ahead: she realized that she has to quickly grab the camera to capture the special moment: a beautiful deer and her baby making their trek across the road.

Jessie slowed her car down and stopped, and started recording, just as the mama deer disappeared into the thick bushes on the roadside. And there, right in front of her car, plopped the seemingly scared fawn.

The fawn was lying on its stomach in the middle of the road, refusing to move. “I honked once to see if she would move, but she was too scared,” Jessie told USA Today.

Instead of interfering and interacting with the baby, Jessie turned her car off in the effort to calm it. But that didn’t seem to do the trick.

Just as Jessie was thinking of getting out and helping the fawn to the side of the road, the mama deer appeared from the bushes. Jessie started filming this event, and the video has now gone viral

After uploading her video to Instagram, it went viral with hundreds of thousands of shares. It’s simple and cute, and sure to put a smile on your face. Watch it below:
