Typically, when faced with the choice between a substantial sum of money or the opportunity to perform in front of one of the world’s most influential figures, many would likely opt for the tempting fortune over the latter.
However, 11-year-old Harrison resonated the sentiments of his entire boy group when he confidently opted to perform for King Charles III instead.
Harrison’s boldness didn’t end there; he playfully reminded Simon Cowell, who was attentively judging from the panel, of something crucial. “You’ve got to remember, it’s not all about the money, Simon!” he quipped, catching Cowell and nearly everyone else at the venue off guard.
Fortunately, the joke was well-received by Cowell, who wholeheartedly agreed with Harrison’s choice.
As they delivered a spirited rendition of “Revolting Children” from “Matilda,” their infectious energy filled the room, earning them four resounding yeses from the judges.
“You are revolting – and that’s a good thing. This was a really, really good audition, but just be really badly behaved going forwards,” teased Cowell, offering his playful critique to the group.
Similarly, the boys garnered heaps of praise from Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli, and Amanda Holden. Likewise, their performance and Harrison’s quick wit were celebrated across the internet.
“Yes Simon, remember that ‘it is not all about the money’ wise words,” commented one user on the YouTube video.
“That was really good, Matilda song. Also, Harrison, you got me laughing,” shared another.
“Love the performance, so cute. Love how each one has his own style and color, such cool wardrobe, they were so much fun,” posted another admirer
