After rescuing the pup, Shannon named it Jiminy Cricket, after the Pinocchio character. After naming him, she made a personal decision to breastfeed the healthy pup, and she did her best. Shannon dedicated her time and fortune to restoring the pup to full health.
A few days later, the pup was still struggling to survive and looked scared. He was slowly starting to show signs of improvement and even had a favorite place to sleep.
The family continued to monitor the progress of Jimmy’s health, which was taking an incredibly positive turn. After about a week, Jiminy Cricket has already regained her health and is showing signs of trust with the new family.
His confidence showed when he allowed people to cuddle him and he comforted the other dogs in the family. After a month, it was already growing and becoming an apple for the eyes. He has grown on his bed and the other dogs seem smaller than him.
Shannon enthusiastically commented, “This dog was with us and became part of our family, so we decided that Jiminy Cricket would stay with us and be our fourth rescue dog.”
The Jiminy Cricket has become so adorable that Shannon admitted she considers him the most special of all the other rescue dogs. Shannon’s love and affection for helpless dogs was so inspiring and helped transform Jiminy from a scared little dog into a huge big-hearted pet.
