Heather and Josh are a young couple from Highland, Michigan who recently welcomed a baby girl into their family. As they save money to buy a place of their own, they stay at Josh’s mother’s guest house.
It seemed like the perfect setup at first – until the nanny’s camera captured a strange image of their 15-month-old daughter Lily’s bedroom wandering around.
The parents reviewed the footage after they said their young daughter woke up with scratches on her face one morning. What they saw on the screen frightened and shocked them.
“It’s like she’s seeing something that we’re not seeing,” Heather told WXYZ.
Afterwards, Joshua described the whole ordeal as “chilling”.
“It was chilling; it was literally soothing to your child, like a ‘what if’ factor – is that what you just saw?”Although the video is only there as evidence, Heather and Josh believe their guest house is haunted and the ghost is outside to take their family.
“It scares us that he could do anything else,” Heather said. “I mean, there was one morning I woke up and felt like someone’s hands were around my neck.”Rumor has it that the man who lived in the house before Josh’s parents bought it committed suicide by jumping out of the second story window.
While the couple suspect the man is the ghost they saw in that video, they no longer plan to detour to meet him again. They hope to get out of the house as soon as possible.
