Milligan auditioned on “America’s Got Talent” with his original song titled “Sounds like Something I’d Do,” accompanied by a talented, fully equipped band. Clad in a complete denim outfit, he strummed his guitar while delivering his infectious track. Milligan undeniably charmed the audience, with many admirers swooning over his charismatic stage presence, and the judges were equally impressed!
Mandel enthusiastically commented, “I believe that song’s a hit. And I think you’re a hit. You’re like the new Elvis of country.”
Elvis has long been a source of inspiration for Milligan. On his website, he wrote, “We all come into this world with a unique set of influences. Mine primarily include George Strait and Elvis.” His affinity for Elvis even led to his discovery by music producer Tony Brown, who noticed Milligan’s talent while he was impersonating Elvis in the 2017 TV series “Sun Records.”
The “America’s Got Talent” judges shared their admiration for Milligan. Vergara echoed Mandel’s sentiments, saying, “It’s the perfect combination. The song was amazing, and you are amazing. I think America is going to go crazy. The ladies are going crazy.”
All four judges gave Milligan’s performance a unanimous “yes,” propelling him to the next round of the competition. The aspiring star was overwhelmed and expressed, “Man, this is like everything I’ve dreamed of since I was a kid… I’m shocked right now; I can’t believe it.”
