The heartbreaking story of a three-year-old Ohio boy who was abandoned in a cemetery two days before Christmas with his dog touched thousands of hearts who came to provide first aid.
The boy, named Tony, was left with his dog at Hope Gardens Memorial Cemetery. An eyewitness told the police that he saw the girl and her dog running behind the car that she had left in the cemetery.
Police then confirmed the three-year-old’s heartbreaking story. According to official reports, police were called to the Hope Gardens Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon, where a witness reported seeing a speeding car and a boy “running behind the car, followed by a dog,” The Sun wrote.
The police also said the boy knew how to tell them his name was Tony, and even gave his parents’ first name.

The abandoned child was taken over by social services
After that, the parents were recognized, but the boy remained in the care of the social services for child protection.

Then Ohio Police Chief Hinckley David Centner announced that the baby had been adopted by a loving family in Medina and that he was in good health.
“The investigation is still ongoing, with many questions still unanswered, but I want to assure everyone that Tony is doing very well in the loving home of an adoptive family here in Medina. His father collaborated a lot with us and with the Social Services.
If anyone would like to buy a Christmas present for Tony, we are ready to receive them at the Hinckley Police Station and we will take them to him as soon as possible “,said the London Police Chief.
The little boy received dozens of Christmas gifts
At Christmas, the child was showered with gifts received from the company that wanted to please him.
“Our lobby is full of gifts that have been left for Tony,” David Sentner said in a Facebook post.
“I contacted my friend Santa Claus and tomorrow morning, after he finishes his deliveries, he will stop at the police station to load the sleigh and make one last stop, to see our little friend again,” he wrote on Facebook.
